UA-cam EXCLUSIVE! Ted DiBiase Reacts to a Story From Gerald Brisco
I'm still surprised that WWE released Cameron Grimes months ago after lying to him about his spot being safe. 😢
Fun Fact: The Million Dollar Man gimmick would make its debut in June 1987 after then face Ted DiBiase turned on his tag team partner of the day ... Sam "Jake's real life half-brother" Houston. Ted had actually been back in the WWF since May 15 working as a face in house shows before the heel turn on June 26. Its a measure of his work that it was just 7 months later "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase was largely acknowledged as the biggest heel in the company with him "buying" the WWF Championship at The Main Event.
Could you invite Grimes (Trevor Lee) on this podcast for a conversation with mr Dibiase?
TO THE MOOOOOOOOON
Haku was sent to Japan at 13 years old along with the Barbarian by the King of Tonga (the king of Tonga was 6'8" tall) to do Sumu. Founding stopped after the King died when he was like 18 years old & that was when Haku & the Barbarian were introduced to wrestling in Japan.
THE BUCKLE. THE BOOT. THE PRESTIGE, THE MONEEEEEH!
Great idea to have Ted,Who was a true Ringmaster, watch sum of Wills stuff,Because Osperay is the greatest Wrestler right now
anyone who stays in the same house together for a good amount of time are going to have words
Ahmed never played For The Dallas Cowboys
If somebody did offer him a contract to come back and he accepted it,that would be proof "everybody's got a price". Lol.
Saw Ted DiBiase just chilling at a Pizza parlor/bar in Key West back in 1999. My girlfriend at the time turns to me and says oh my God I think that's Ted DiBiase. I turn my head to the left and say that's not the Million dollar man. He turns around and looks right at me in a deep voice a says hey how you doing? It was indeed Ted DeBiase. We let him eat pizza and drink beer in piece although all four of us there were starstruck because we were all big fans at the time.
So is this going to turn into "what do you think of the flavor of the month wrestler in 2024?" No one who wants to hear from Ted DiBiase is interested in this.
Ted was an out of shape loser. He really didn't have a long career. Ted isn't friends with other guys, he never traveled with guys like the warrior did because he was alone in first class and alone in his limo
This is proof you can't teach the ability to flow with confidence...
They wrestled in msg as well this is confusing lol
Its very easy to tell the replica and the real belt apart. The replica's have a very flat centreplate and were thin. The real belt's centreplate was much thicker
That was a good bump
Wrestling is Faker than it's ever been making it harder and harder to enjoy it ... Losing that just for a second feeling that this might be real this guy might really be pissed this guy might be a real bad A aspect
I hate the idea of scripts. Ted, you didn’t need a script. Flair, Dusty, Piper, etc. NONE of you needed them. WWE needs to get rid of them.
It would be really cool if Cameron Grimes (now Trevor Lee) could have a chat with Ted on this podcast. Can you do it?
Sadly, it was Cameron Grimes' best storyline with WWE.
Million Dollar Belt is saying ok guys wrestling is fake. No sports organizations have a million dollar belt. If you want to say wrestling is totally fake then have the million dollar belt. If you want to say wrestling is real then get rid of the million dollar belt.
It has been a successful prop for many years that's why they brought it back
🙏🙏🙏
Seriously funny guy. Love Hacksaw
It's sad to know Hacksaw values a piece of cloth more than a human life.
I remember that bump. It really was a thing of beauty. I couldn’t believe Ted could do that at that age.
Who needs BlueChew when alls you gotta do is take a bump in a rasslin ring.
The million dollar belt made Cameron Grimes and LA Knight stars in NXT.
Honestly, I'm surprised we haven't seen a "Parachute" match by now...
It had one real diamond in it
Three
If they wanted to score on the nepotism Lebron James/ Bronny thing now. Should bring out like a Grandson of the Million Dollar Man character or soemthing.
I think the Million Dollar belt should be added as a title belt on the main roster.
Sort of the equivalent to a television title
You need a DiBiase somehow involved , otherwise it makes no sense
Wait... did DiBiase say Andre ordered about 100 beers, which required a garbage can be brought to the table?! (Yes, he did!)
You are not wrong about The Warrior. I was crazy about him back in the day. Then older me realized Jim was not a good worker. But he did draw and put butts in seats. RIP Jim
Hogan was a transcendent star. The measure is his profile with people that didn't even know anything about wrestling for 20 years. He was the Michael Jordan of wrestling. Not saying the best. But go anywhere in the world in the late 80s into the early 90s and everyone knows who Hogan was. Not because he was the best, but because media became truly global in that era, and before media splintered. Hogan had mass exposure by mass media that was limited to the point that everyone watched the same things: A feat not possible before, or much after.
I don't care what no one says.dynamite kid and Bruiser brody had it common !! Really kill them ? lol dork !!
Rolls Royce are so 1980s. Unless you're riding in The Sultan of Brunei's Rolls, nobody cares about them anymore. Now a Maybach limo would be the way to travel.
Slot of people still love rolls royce. Hell, even if only one person cared, that's what matter.
Alot, not slot.
@@brokengirl8619 obviously, it was an autocorrect thing. But "alot" isn't a word either
my favorite wrestling podcast period.
For those of you not familiar with the spinning toe hold, it's the starting point for the figure four but you stop after you wrap the guys leg around yours.
Jerry got better at calling matches in Alabama as a heel . He was great . As a babyface he was as smooth as anyone .
I started watching wrestling in 1985. Hulk Hogan is the biggest star of all time. His career was longer than The Rock and Stone Cold. I don’t think Hulk was as good in the ring as those other two but his in ring stardom lasted much longer.
Ask Ted how did they call the match when their opponents were Japanese speaking?
Trust me, Hulk Hogan.
It's kinda like, I'm watching the new DiBiase video!
I love this, great memories, thank you for sharing with us fans of yours Ted, every man has his price ha ha ha 😊❤💵.
The Samoans got in the business because they had to be smartened up to keep them from destroying the heels in San Francisco by running in the ring to "help" the baby-faces getting cheated. I remember Ted teaming up with JYD during his feud with the Samoans. Ted was feuding with Paul Orndorff, Bob Roop, and Bob Orton, but got to help his best friend Dog in one of the loops around the territory.
He wore the white suit, but black trunks, for Money Inc.'s match at WM9 as well. I felt like it was best for the PPV title-defenses. He wore it in that Money Inc. match against the Steiners in Barcelona as well.
Sherry was a legit tough woman, she use to knock out grown men in fights.
Sherry had a tough woman rep. She had a history of knocking out grown men in fights. Hulk Hogan said her slapping him was the first time he ever got knocked out for a period in the ring.
I don't think Ted actually worked with the Wild Samoans. I know Sika had a short stint as a singles wrestler while Ted was there, but he would've been a heel and I can't remember if they ever even did a tag match together.
Ted and The Samoans worked Midsouth .
