I'm still surprised that WWE released Cameron Grimes months ago after lying to him about his spot being safe. 😢

Fun Fact: The Million Dollar Man gimmick would make its debut in June 1987 after then face Ted DiBiase turned on his tag team partner of the day ... Sam "Jake's real life half-brother" Houston. Ted had actually been back in the WWF since May 15 working as a face in house shows before the heel turn on June 26. Its a measure of his work that it was just 7 months later "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase was largely acknowledged as the biggest heel in the company with him "buying" the WWF Championship at The Main Event.

Haku was sent to Japan at 13 years old along with the Barbarian by the King of Tonga (the king of Tonga was 6'8" tall) to do Sumu. Founding stopped after the King died when he was like 18 years old & that was when Haku & the Barbarian were introduced to wrestling in Japan.

Saw Ted DiBiase just chilling at a Pizza parlor/bar in Key West back in 1999. My girlfriend at the time turns to me and says oh my God I think that's Ted DiBiase. I turn my head to the left and say that's not the Million dollar man. He turns around and looks right at me in a deep voice a says hey how you doing? It was indeed Ted DeBiase. We let him eat pizza and drink beer in piece although all four of us there were starstruck because we were all big fans at the time.

Hogan was a transcendent star. The measure is his profile with people that didn't even know anything about wrestling for 20 years. He was the Michael Jordan of wrestling. Not saying the best. But go anywhere in the world in the late 80s into the early 90s and everyone knows who Hogan was. Not because he was the best, but because media became truly global in that era, and before media splintered. Hogan had mass exposure by mass media that was limited to the point that everyone watched the same things: A feat not possible before, or much after.

The Samoans got in the business because they had to be smartened up to keep them from destroying the heels in San Francisco by running in the ring to "help" the baby-faces getting cheated. I remember Ted teaming up with JYD during his feud with the Samoans. Ted was feuding with Paul Orndorff, Bob Roop, and Bob Orton, but got to help his best friend Dog in one of the loops around the territory.

He wore the white suit, but black trunks, for Money Inc.'s match at WM9 as well. I felt like it was best for the PPV title-defenses. He wore it in that Money Inc. match against the Steiners in Barcelona as well.

I don't think Ted actually worked with the Wild Samoans. I know Sika had a short stint as a singles wrestler while Ted was there, but he would've been a heel and I can't remember if they ever even did a tag match together.
